The Brooklyn Tech Triangle efforts continue to gain attention worldwide. apa award for btt“The Plan creates a multi‐disciplinary strategy toward preparing the area for tech-oriented economy and also helping to attract the burgeoning sector,” said Sarah Yackel, Vice President for Committees of the APA’s New York Chapter, in presenting the award. “The strategy envisions a new kind of tech hub that is different from Silicon Alley – it draws on the uniqueness of Brooklyn’s neighborhoods and amenities, and it focuses on Brooklyn’s “maker” community.”

The APA also noted that the Plan has already galvanized public support and momentum for many of the proposed projects, thanks to a thorough outreach project led by WXY Architecture + Urban Design to establish buy‐in and identify future stewards, including government agencies at the city and state levels, universities, high schools, and local stakeholders.
